5-4-10 My possible realistic story ideas

My grandma went to the Eiffel tower in Paris, France. She decided to go to the top of the Eiffel tower. So she climbed 1,000 stairs to get to the top. When she did get to the top, she stayed up there for 2 hours. Then she decided to climb back down. Then she found an ice cream parlor; so she decided to get a 10 scoop ice cream cone that was 1 foot high. And she needed to have a cone holder to hold the cone- then that same ice cream parlor set a world record in the guinness book of world records for having the tallest ice cream cone in the world that includes: 10 scoops of any flavor ice cream and the size is 1 foot high. Then she stayed at the Ice cream parlor for 1 hour.

5-6-10 Issue: Passed away grandparents

There once was a boy named David that had 2 passed away grandparents. One of the grandparents he never got to meet, because he passed away before he was born. The other one he saw all of he life. That was his grandma Helen, he had so much fun when he got to see her. David lived in another state, so he had to travel a lot to see his grandma. But then, just recently, his grandma passed away, and he can't get over her death. He still sometimes thinks that she is still alive. And just before she passed away, David would be there taking care of her with his Mom; David spent along time taking care of his grandma. He got to see her and take care of her 2 days before she had passed.

Generating Ideas

David is my character from my passed away grandparents story; his personality is...... Is that he doesn't have confidence in him self. He loved his grandma very much. So, he saw her from the stage of walking with a cane... to walking with a walker.... to being in a wheelchair.... to being bed-bound. Then he finally saw her when something was taking over his grandma.

Grandma Helen's personality is.... She was a fighter... she was brave.... she was strong...... she had a good attitude........ she believed in herself........... she believed that if you set your mind to something, you could do it.

This is a great start. I like how you shared about the stages of Grandma walking. I like the traits you gave Grandma. Why does she have those traits? Did she experience hardships in her past?-Ms. Schwieters

More ideas for my characters......

* David had always loved to read like his grandma.

* Grandma and David were book worms because they always loved to read, and because they thought more about there books. They would still be involved with friends. Still willing to talk to others

* They both liked to play checkers. Because........... they were both smart and checkers has to-do with doing where to move on the board

Keep up the great work! I am impressed with how well you are listing character traits for your characters. Do you have an idea about what is going to happen to these people?-Ms Schwieters
